The Treblemakers' Director

MARY BOZZUTI HIGGINS, a graduate of Northwestern University and Boston University, and a well known native of Wilton, has had an extensive performing career as singer, teacher and conductor. She has performed as a soloist with the Boston Symphony, American Symphony, Florida Orchestra, Boston Pops, Tanglewood Festival Orchestra to name a few. Her operatic roles have included Mimi in LA BOHEME, Fiordilisi in COSI FAN TUTTI, Ms. Jessel in TURN OF THE SCREW, Zerlina in DON GIOVANNI, Marschallin in DER ROSENKAVALIER, Tatiana in EUGENE ONEGIN, The Soprano in the World Premiere of ORPHEUS IN LOVE which took Ms. Bozzuti to Moscow in 1991.
Her teaching credits include Associate Professor of Voice at Boston University, Language and Voice teacher at Tanglewood, and a large private studio for many years here in Wilton. She has been awarded the Richard Gaddes Artist Scholarship from the Opera Theatre of St. Louis, the Esther B. Kahn Career Award from Boston University's Opera Institute and is a 2 time Metropolitan Opera Finalist. She was the Music Director and conductor of the Fairfield County Operetta Workshop for four seasons and is currently the Director of the choir at Our Lady of Fatima and the Treblemakers, an all female vocal ensemble. Ms. Bozzuti can be heard on the Geotone Label singing Mozart's Exultate Jubilate with the American Chamber Symphony. Recently, Ms. Bozzuti made her debut with Dave Brubeck as the soprano soloist in his work, TO HOPE: A CELEBRATION!
